All the movie lovers,
you cannot escape the fear of height. just kidding.. I am talking about Sir Alfred Hitchcock's film Vertigo. It is a 1958 American psychological thriller which has received rave reviews all over the world.
The story revolves around a retired police officer (James Stewart) who is suffering from Acrophobia. It is the fear for height. he is being hired as a private detective by rich businessman to investigate about his wife (Madeleine), to uncover the reasons for her strange behaviour. In the process Stewart falls for Madeleine.
Madeleine commits suicide and Stewart is unable to save her due to his fear for height. After some time of her death Stewart sees a girl who looks like Madeleine and he starts following her. The unknown girl tells him that she is Judy Barton from Kansas. they both start dating and Judy falls for Stewart. But in later stage we find that Judy is the same lady, Madeleine whom James was following. in the process of revelation of this fact Stewart realise that he has overcome his fear of height but all of sudden Madeleine again fells off from the same building.
